Shrishaila Peetha, one of the Panchapeethas, was established in 1970 at Harihar Nagar. Shri J.P.V. Vidyapeeth has made its mark in the field of education for the last 54 years, and currently, the institution has many affiliates like NEET, IIT Engineering, B.Sc., Nursing, B.Sc., Agri. On the many requests of students and parents seeking admission, the present Jagadguru is active on the management board and in the famous PUs in different parts of Karnataka. Shrishaila Hi-Tech P.U. is another subsidiary employing the services of lecturers with many years of experience in colleges. The college started in 1970.
